As an organization rooted in Calgary, Alberta, Fern Fresh recognizes that we are situated on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy (comprising the Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai Nations), the Tsuut'ina Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda Peoples (including the Wesley, Chiniki, and Bearspaw Nations).

We acknowledge and honor the longstanding relationships these Indigenous communities have with this land, which continues to be a place of significance to them.
We respect the histories, languages, and cultures of the Indigenous Peoples who have cared for this land since time immemorial. We recognize that while we now benefit from their stewardship, their sovereignty and connection to the land remain active and relevant.

Fern Fresh is committed to learning from and working in partnership with Indigenous communities, actively promoting Indigenous knowledge, and incorporating Indigenous perspectives into our business practices. We strive to amplify the voices and contributions of Indigenous Peoples within our organization and within the broader community.
We invite all members of our team and our customers to join us in fostering an environment of respect, collaboration, and reconciliation. By acknowledging the original caretakers of this land, we aim to honor the past, build understanding in the present, and work towards a shared future of mutual respect and sustainability.
Together, let us ensure that this acknowledgment is not merely a statement, but a reminder of our collective responsibility to uphold the rights, cultures, and well-being of Indigenous Peoples, both within our business and beyond.
